Why Durotimi AI?

Based on a clinical research we conducted with a national healthcare provider, aimed at minimising the risk of delay and errors in medical diagnosis, a pressing issue surfaced; Cancer patients—those whose cases demand the fastest, most urgent care—were often lost in the general queue, with symptoms too subtle to trigger immediate action. This challenge is particularly heartbreaking for children, who may struggle to express their discomfort or pain. The weight of a cancer diagnosis reverberates beyond the patient, enveloping the entire family in a cloud of anxiety, fear, and enduring hardship. Lives are reshaped; routines and dreams are put on hold. For families, each day is marked by small prayers, a quiet hope for survival through the trials of treatment and medical intervention.

This raised a critical question: Could we help physicians detect early signs of cancer, even when symptoms weren't yet visible?

This is where "Durotimi AI" comes in. Named after the Yoruba phrase meaning "Stay with me," Durotimi AI embodies this very hope: the plea to hold on, to endure, to overcome. Our mission is clear—to bring this compassionate technology to life, so that every patient, every family, has a fighting chance for more time, more hope, and more tomorrows.

To address this, we collaborated with a network of researchers to create the initial version of Durotimi AI. Now, with version 2.0 in place, our team of researchers and partners continues to rigorously research, refine, and improve the solution’s effectiveness in clinical settings.
